Age & safety

Every product page shows an age grade. Here's what we mean by it.

Build kits and craft kits: ages 14+

These kits contain small parts (bricks, gears, marbles, resin gems). The manufacturer grades them for ages 14 and up, and so do we. They're made for teens and adults, not young children.

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD. Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. Keep loose parts away from small children and pets while you build.

Lights and decor: "not a toy"

Star projectors and sand-art frames are home décor. Use the supplied cable or adapter, keep them away from water, and don't leave a glass frame where it can be knocked to the floor.

Toys for younger children

US law requires toys for children 12 and under to be third-party tested and covered by a Children's Product Certificate. We only add items for younger children once we hold that certificate and the lab report, and we'll say so on the product page.

Recalls

If a product we sell is ever recalled, we'll email everyone who bought it. You can also check cpsc.gov/Recalls.
